PUMA – Journey of Football

The most electrifying event in sports history…apart from some Samoan’s elbow…is the World Cup, and it’s just over 50 days away.

The video is Puma’s effort to sell a few more shirts, I don’t know if it’ll work, but its reminded me of one of Gnarls Barkley’s best tunes.

Enjoy.

The Ivan Brothers

To come up with these kind of ideas and see them through would be my idea of a dream job. I’m a suckah for some left-field advertising and this is it at its best; random link to the product, some crazy ass content and a bit of comedy…how could you not be interested?

Somebody get me an internship at an advertising firm stat!!

Nike Mercurial Superfly II

I missed these babd boys when the first pics and info was released at the back end of February.

‘The Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II football boots were unveiled by Cristiano Ronaldo, at an elaborate show in front of London’s iconic Battersea Power Station. They are the boots the football superstar will wear for the rest of the domestic season and at the World Cup’

The mercurials have been my favourite boots along with the Total 90s for the last few years, and my man-crush on Ronaldo is still there, even though he joined the bastards galacticos over in Madrid. Decisons, decisions.

Hit the jump for a few more pics.

Pepsi World Cup Advert

As the World Cup approaches more and more companies are going to be piggy-backing on the hype of England winning for the first time since ’66 this amazing competition and event.

But as much as I like seeing Drogba, Messi, Henry, Kaka, Arshavin and Lampard kicking a ball around in the desert in possibly the worst looking shirts ever created…it seems that the controversial undertone of the whole piece is that the Africans hosting the tournament cheat; a lot. Hmmmmmm Pepsi, might want to have a look at it again.
