Shepard Fairey @ West Hollywood Library

I’m a huge fan of Shepard and his Obey brand of clothing. Hard to belive it all strated with a newspaper cutting of Andre the Giant back in the 1980’s.

Thanks to Shephard and two of his street artist friends Kenny Scharf and RETNA, the West Hollywood Library is enjoying a much needed facelift. Curated by MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Arts), the building will eventually become the one Library that I would actually like to visit on the West Coast (closely followed by the imaginary Library that hands out $100 bills).

Check the jump for more photos and I’ll post some more once they’re finished.

The Evolution of the Soda Can

Now this is the kind of innovation that makes Britain great. From the simple alluminium soda can to the crazy pressurised foam machine, its the obvious way forward – isn’t it? I just hope the guys at Hawaiian Punch get the memo for my next trip to the US of A.

Stussy – Beat Down in London Town

Always nice to see local spots on video, especially when its the Stussy guys larking about. This is the life isn’t it, BBQ’s, tagging and drinking – perfect combination for a night in the cells.

TOMS Eyewear

TOMS is a great business/charity. You buy a pair of shoes and they give a pair of shoes to a needy pair of feet (that’s a lot of pairs). Now TOMS are moving into the eyewear game, bringing along a nice set of Wayfarers and Aviators that, if you buy, will magically transform into a unicorn mean a set of glasses, treatment or medication for someone less fortunate than you.

The Green Soccer Journal

Let’s get one thing straight – its not called soccer, its football. Now we’ve got that out of the way we can appreciate the subtle design cues of this first edition…oh, and Mamadou Sakho of PSG is in there.

Incase x CSC – Soccer Bag

I’ll admit it…women have handbags to amass, real men have backpacks to lust over. This is definitely one of those times when spending $200 on a bag I’d gladly just stash away is completely justified.

Created by the guys at ChinaTown Soccer Club – a group of dudes who have more swag in their little fingers than Kanye and Pharrell put together – and the nice people at Incase, they’ve managed to bring two of my geeky passions together; football and tech. Compartments for your boots and a 17″ Macbook Pro are just some of the features it brings to the party.

If only I had the dollar to spend…oh well.

Hit the jump for pics of the masterpiece.

The Sneaker Colouring Book

Now why didn’t I think of this? Such a good, simple concept. I know a few people that would love to get their hands on one of these.

Illustrated by Daniel Jarosch and Henrik Klingel, the book includes 100 different sneaker silhouettes from 18 different brands, and they’ve even gone to the trouble of making the pages perforated so you can tear them out and proudly display them on your fridge…so Mummy can see how good you are.

Out this May…somewhere.

PUMA x Fuseproject – Packaging

PUMA and some dude named Bob Yves BĂ©har have come up with a pretty innovative and eco-friendly way of replacing the standard shoe-box.

It now looks like a fancy Tesco carrier bag with a little bit of cardboard in, who says this designing lark is hard?
